Going through it.

Hey there...

A while back, I listened to an interview of Elle Luna.

She spoke about how we greet one another in a way that may be dishonest at times.

"Hi, how are you?"
"I'm good."

Even if you're fighting back tears.

"I'm good."

Even if your world is crumbling around you.

"I'm good."

Even if you'd like to ask them for help.

This answer is automatic for so many. It holds us all back from reaching out, connecting and helping.

In the interview, Elle mentions how she's changed her auto-responses to include "I'm going through it."

"Going through it."

Meaning, "Things aren't the easiest right now and that's the truth. I'd love some support in this moment."

It gives the other person to offer up some encouraging words. To ask more and be curious. To send love.

So if you're going through it, let others know.
